Spending at least one of your summers on holiday in Ibiza is mandatory as a student. Ibiza offers everything that a student could want. It has the sun, sea and all the clubbing you could ever hope for. Plus, a summer holiday in Ibiza won’t require you to extend your student overdraft either as you can find cheap last minute deals.
Here is your guide to Ibiza, the places to go, the best deals and what it’s like to work there.
How much does Ibiza cost?
When you reach the end of the year and realise that what is left of your student loan has to get you through the summer you begin to wonder what you did with your money and why you didn’t save more for a summer holiday? However, budget holidays to Ibiza can be extremely affordable. Thomas Cook and Airtours offer self-catering holidays from £226pp to half board holidays from £244pp. Keep accommodation and flight prices low so that you can experience all that Ibiza has to offer once you are there.
Where to go and what to do?
The Sightseers – First of all we must address the beautiful beaches that Ibiza has to offer such as the beautiful Cala Saladeta. This beach is just a short walk from Cala Salada, and it has crystal blue waters – there’s no need for any Instagram filters here. I would suggest getting there early before the crowds settle in. For breath-taking views visit the Castle of Ibiza in the old town. Then later in the day, a calm and beautiful way to spend your evening would be on a boat excursion, watching the sun set over the Es Verda rocks.
The Adventurers – Whether you seek adventure every day or just want to have a unique experience, water sports are the best way to get the adrenaline pumping. You and your friends could ride a jet ski, fly on a jet-pack hover board or go cliff diving! Ibiza Spotlight offers all the information you need about their water sport adventures so that you can pick the perfect adventure for you.
But, if you’re not in to water sports then one fun and unique adventure would be to try an escape room. These escape rooms can be found in many countries, but they are all unique and packed with fun. Get locked in a room with your friends and see if your teamwork and detective skills will allow you to escape in the given time.
The Party-goers – Here’s the main event, whilst I imagine you will visit the beautiful beaches and have one fun adventure, we all know that students in Ibiza mean one thing, partying. However, with all the clubs, nights and deals available it is difficult to know where to go and what not to miss?
Amnesia is arguably one of the leading clubs in Ibiza. Every Monday, Sven Vath presents Cocoon, every Thursday it hosts Cream Ibiza with names such as Paul Van Dyk, Fatboy Slim and Diplo and the Tuesday nights, Together, bring you Chase and Status alongside other names such as Sigma, Pendulum DJ Sets and Rudimental DJ Sets.
Ushuaia Ibiza delivers David Guetta BIG every Monday night and Avicii every Sunday night. Each event, will deliver big names but will change from week to week with some events offering the amazing Ruby Rose, Nero DJ sets, Kygo and Nervo. If all of these names feel intimidating then simply look at the line up for each night and if a single name excites you then go for it and book that night.
Ibiza Rocks is seeing some big names this August, offering Craig David Pool Parties, events from Skrillex, Dizzee Rascal, Faithless, All Saints and Example.
However for an all-night experience, go for a Boat Party ticket as many tickets include entry to big clubs such as Pacha, Sankeys and Space!
