Volunteer at Crisis for Christmas in London

Crisis for Christmas is a volunteering charity based in London, which caters to a variety of people, providing a diverse selection of services. You can be a night owl, volunteering at a residential home for the elderly for the night shift, or you can volunteer in catering, cooking up delicious meals for the homeless in the winter kitchen. Volunteer at the Christmas Drop in Service, Manchester

The charity Life share offer a Christmas drop in service, running on 23rd, 24th-28th and 29th of December. Applications are now open for you apply to volunteer for the charity. The Christmas drop in allows people, usually the elderly, who are suffering from loneliness, to drop in and have a chat, some food and watch some entertainment in the form of television or a musical act. They will also receive some warm clothing, toiletries, bedding and also medical care, with a doctor always on site.  Check out their website here to get involved.

Volunteer at Birmingham Christmas Shelter

Birmingham Christmas Shelter are an organisation that work to offer food, warmth and shelter to the homeless this winter. They operate from the 22nd to the 29th of December, the doors are open to all, they are regularly looking for volunteers, so check out the website and give them an email.

The Volunteer Centre, Sheffield

The Volunteer Centre are offering a variety of Christmas volunteering activities to partake in this winter. This Christmas you can be a host! Basically, you’ll be visiting the elderly who are often left lonely at Christmas. You can also help out at the shelter to serve Christmas lunch to everyone. Volunteer at the One Church in Brighton

This year you can always help out at the One Church in Brighton, who offer aid and shelter to the homeless this winter, as well as hot food at Christmas. You can also help run various food banks across the city in aid of fair share, providing people in need of support with hot food this Christmas. Finally, you can also partake in help from home, this is quite easy to do and not that time consuming, it consists of a variety of different activities, such as writing to a sick child or giving a lonely elderly person a call.
